Subsequent to all treks we offer in Nepal you have the option to spend a few days white water river rafting and participate in a jungle in Chitwan National Park for an additional charge of $450 per person. The day after our trek, we raft down class 2 to 4 rapids for two days. We camp on the beach along the river side to the soothing sound of the rushing river. We raft all the way into the dense jungle of Chitwan National Park. We stay in small thatched-roof huts on an island filled with wild animals such as rhinoceros, Bengali tigers, small bears, monkeys, crocodiles, and an abundance of birds. We will ride on elephants and walk by foot through the jungle accompanied by an experienced Nepalese guide, who has an amazing ability to bring us as close to the wild animals as possible. We will also travel around the island in a canoe to watch birds, crocodiles, rhinoceros, and possibly tigers. At night we will be entertained by local Nepalese performing ethnic dances in traditional costumes at our jungle camp.
Rafting and the Chitwan jungle safari will give you a glimpse of a very different Nepal than what you will experience in the Himalayas. The rafting and jungle safari is a great way to find relaxation after several days trekking.
River rafting and jungle safari can be offered to those travelers who want to visit Nepal without trekking. You may want to spend a few days in Kathmandu and it's surrounding towns visiting the interesting historical sights. After your stay in Kathmandu, we can make arrangements for you to white water raft and then participate in a jungle safari in Chitwan National Park. We can also make hotel reservations for you. Please inquire for more details.
